乒乓年終開幕第一砲! 跨越領域與世代的作品交換展
由乒乓主辦的「逆滲透」08年12月12日至09年1月16日，為期一個多月的交換活動，12月12日當晚七點將會有potluck dinner party，並於1月16日當晚7點開幕，同晚10點舉辦閉幕。
乒乓試圖透過當代社會中各種身分疆界的交雜，把藝術外的事物透過形式而重新體現另一種藝術的封閉面貌。在這所指的封閉意即：藝術在表現上似乎始終只能貼近，卻無法觸碰真實。這貼近卻顯示了當代藝術仍然在藝術的客觀遊戲規則與激情的碰觸生活之間牽扯。
「逆滲透」是一種對於展覽怎麼有效問題的提議。試著對在當代藝術無關概念的形式疆界上，藉由粗糙的“形式上的跨越”來開啟激情的遊戲規則。以相互交換的遊戲規則為提議，每個人都可以帶著創作品進入並參與這檔展覽。帶著作品進來，與在場的參展人對話、了解互相的想法，就是參與我們的開始。在這裡為期一個多月的交換過程中我們將會在互相的需求之間產生超越現實的另一種生態。
由【乒乓】規劃的這檔展覽沒有藝術家名單，而是透過相互交換的途徑並隨著時間流變，參展藝術家將會隨之累積。因此使得繪畫、雕塑、攝影、錄像、立體空間裝置、數位影像甚至表演藝術、公仔...等不同媒材創作品在各種情境的空間交會聚集，並且實驗性的使不同領域的思惟透過交換而匯集。期間有“乒乓主打星”、“乒乓之友，尊榮之夜”...等等許多展覽相關活動，同時乒乓的第一次跨年派對也在12月31日晚上七點舉辦。在諸多活動與交換事件的發生下，整合展覽與活動在面對“日常”時兩者的不同施力點。

「Floating Buffer Zone」organized by PingPong will be held from December 12th to January 16th. Beginning with the potluck dinner party on Dec.12th, the exchange exhibition lasts for 1 month with the opening reception at 7pm on January 16th at PingPong coinciding with the closing night at 10pm.
Contemporary art through the fusion of diverse boundaries of identity reappears another self-contained exterior. What so called self-contained here means that art in terms of manifesting can only approach but never touch the reality. This kind of approach demonstrates Contemporary art is still struggling between the objective game rules of art and the idealism of influence to life.
「Floating Buffer Zone」 is a proposal in response to the solution on how exhibition can be effective and attempts to unseal the vehement game rules roughly by means of " Transcendence of Modality" in the filed of form irreverent to concept. Through the suggestion of the game of exchange, everyone can bring his or her works, and participate in the exhibition. The moment the viewing subject enters the show with their work and communicates with others, the person goes through experience that is not limited to the
visual; they almost immediately change their role to be participants generating another nature beyond the reality under the bilateral demand.
Expecting an ongoing experience open to change and variation, 「Floating
Buffer Zone」differs from others in the past is the withdrawal of the artist list. The amount of participating artists will be accumulated spontaneously through the process of exchange chronologically. This exhibition brings together diverse works as painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, digital image, performance, and others at diverse space in terms of atmosphere and panorama and experimentally assembles a variety of notion and wills of different fields. Except for the opening reception, there will be many stimulating related activities such as " PingPong Hits" and "PingPong Lottery: Royal Overnight" as well as the first countdown party of PingPong on the last day. Integrating exhibition and activities with events and exchange, 「Floating Buffer Zone」continues to instigate happenings that engage participants and brings to them unusual experiences in most unexpected ways.

「Floating Buffer Zone」welcomes free-form artwork submissions for exchange. Please bring your creation to create the exhibition with us. You are integral to the completion of the show!!
